13 Months

Dear Little Boy,

How the time is rushing by me. I though I would be writing in this post that you are walking everywhere but no, you are not interested.  You get everywhere on your knees, I wonder if you think you are already walking!

You have taken 6 steps, and still walk around the furniture, but if you have somewhere to go, you go by knee, and you are fast too!

Breastfeeding is over, you became disinterested not long after your first birthday, every feed became shorter or you would rather drink water from your cup.  I thought I would be sad but it felt right, and we made it to twelve months which is fantastic!  – Just need to get you interested in cows milk, which you are not so keen on.

You have been copying words, when asked “what does a sheep say” you reply “Baa” you also try to say your big brothers name, you have been saying mum and dad for ages now, waving and saying bye, and hello.

Your favourite thing to play with is the remote – surprise surprise, you desperately try to get up on the couch to get them. Especially the playstation ones.  Your other favourite thing to do is empty my plastics drawer, I am forever picking things up off the floor.  Toys who needs them!!

Your smallest boy sounds a lot like mine…

My boy took two steps at about 12 months then not another one until about two weeks ago. Now, at 15 months he walks everywhere!

I hope he is walking by the time warm weather comes around, his poor little knees and feet with no pants on would be horrible.

Hi Nicole ..what a precious angel especially with his hair blowing about.
    Nice one!
Do miss blogging sometimes but am enjoying the freedom too.
New projects in the pipeline..a vege garden, maybe chooks..(not 100% on that vote) and little bit of writing.
My video diary is in full swing..healing with time. xxxx

Sounds lovely, i wish I had room for a veggie garden! It can become a burden sometimes this blogging, I am not sure at all what to write about today.

Your little boy is lovely. It’s great you’ve written out these little memories. I was much better about it with my first girl but been more slack with my current bub. It’s not that I don’t want to but I’ve become distracted with a new hobby…..er bloggy.

I am not sure how long my bub will breastfeed. I intend to go as long as she wants though might consider winding down from about 18 months (like with my first) unless she loses interest earlier. I know it was very emotional the first time. I wonder how I’ll feel second time.

I think it’s cute he gets about on his knees. My friend’s girl did similar. She shuffled along until she was ready to walk. I’m not sure what triggers the change but it’s still cool for now so hopefully he’ll get to it before it heats up. It must be interesting reliving milestones with him given your older two are a fair bit older.

Hehehe it is interesting watching him progress, so differently to the others, first to crawl, last to walk!
