A couple of weeks back we drove to Ulverstone to collect our new vehicle, at that time it was after dark and we spotted the Rocket park and thought we must come back and take the kids, to experience some of our own childhood memories of this great playground. Fast forward to the weekend and we took another drive to Ulverstone.
As kids my husband and I both frequented the Rocket Park on many visits usually over Easter when we were camping nearby. I have very fond memories of the place.
We get to the Rocket Park….the kids are impressed.
We walk over to the Rocket – us, not so impressed. It is bolted up with a padlock 🙁 I really don’t see why, there is no way you could fall out of that thing. The spaceship has also been turned into a bbq area, the stairs removed.
Was it really cheaper to install a whole new playground than it was to fix the issues with these two pieces of equipment? Such a shame.
Anyway the kids still had fun on the slide, which I am glad is still in operation.
Look I’m here!!! The brief moment I removed Kev’s giant cat’s jumper for a photo (the wind was cold and I forgot my jacket)
Just stop for a second for a photo pleeeeeeeaaaaase!
On the way back from our play at the park we stopped to eat some dinner at the Devonport Bluff. We went up the hill near the lighthouse. We have previously had some family photos up here, it is such a beautiful spot.
Pretending to love each other….
What really happens
Once again avoiding the camera in any way possible
I tried all sorts of tricks….Let’s run!
Shoe flies off!
The most “normal” shot I could get!
