Twelve months ago, I photographed a lovely couple during the month of May, a beautiful autumn backdrop for the bride Caitlin’s big day. Lyndford is whisking Caitlin away to the mainland, which is sad for me as Caitlin and I have teamed up on a few weddings, her being a talented make up artist. Caitlin had Olivia Jones do her own make-up and Caitlin did her bridesmaids and her Mum. Caitlin were married in their family church in Launceston and we took photographs at Grindelwald Swiss Village and around the reception venue The Edelweiss located at The Tamar Valley Resort. It was a pleasure to be a part of your big day, and Happy Anniversary!
My first winter wedding. I must admit I was not looking forward to getting up early on a frosty morning but much to my surprise the frost stayed away and it was a beautiful day. Winter is light is so beautiful, the bridal party photos were taken shortly after midday which normally would be not a great idea, but during winter it is perfect.
This wedding was so much fun, the day was perfect, and we had lots of fun, running, flying (drone) and jumping.
Make up : Caitlyn Bromley Makeup
Photo Location: Trevallyn State Reserve
Reception: Peppers Seaport
Congratulations on your marriage, and thanks for letting me share your day!
Where in Launceston can you go that are openly available for wedding photography? I have made a list of all the places I can think of, I apologise for some of the very old photos and editing!
Wedding ceremonies may be held in any of Launceston’s public parks, with no fee charged , check the Launceston City Council website for more details.
City Park. The City Park is huge, this is just a couple of shots from the “monkey” end of the park, there is also the beautiful rotunda, and beautiful plants and trees all around.
Punchbowl, well known for the murky duck pond, but also has beautiful gardens.
Princes Square is quite a popular location. Right in the centre of town.
This is just up the road from Princes Square.
First Basin, and Cataract Gorge Cliff Grounds
Inveresk Rail Yards, one of my favourite locations, so many colours on the old buildings.
Kings Park and Board Walk, Seaport, and River’s Edge near Still Water
This is the only picture I had of Seaport.
A good old building can be a fantastic backdrop.
Just a little out of Launceston…
Evandale, there are so many spots in Evandale that are just beautiful for photos, I desperately want to take someone’s photos here.

If you can come up with some other locations please let me know!
